STYLE ME PRETTY LIVING
At first, you might mistake this kids party for a mini-sized wedding. I did. It's just that good. Elegant, yet playful—Shaw Events, Mums Garden Floral and the entire vendor team really outdid themselves with a bunny theme that is just too cute to boot. "Pin the tail on the bunny"? Dead. How ADORABLE? You can bet your bunny tail I'll be pinning every last detail in hopes it will remind me I need to do this for my son's spring birthday next year. Please, please make sure to scope out the full gallery from Elza Photographie!

''Becoming a mother has been the single most transformative experience of my life. I had a wonderful pregnancy and apart from first trimester nausea, I truly enjoyed every minute of carrying our baby. Even up until the end I was sleeping well and feeling rested, ready and whole. I had prepared extensively for a natural hospital birth with my midwives and various other practitioners and although I was aware that "anything could happen" during labour, I still felt as though I could control the process to a certain degree with determination and focused energy. (...)''
''When Elizabeth reached out to me to book a session to celebrate Effie’s first birthday, I knew we would be creating the most precious images together. Not only her daughter is adorable, but that greenhouse was also such a dream. All these terracotta pots, these little plants and greeneries… Oh and what about that perfect little outfit and that Briar Handmade bonnet! Every little detail was simply perfect to create the most beautiful session. (...)''

''I think motherhood can mean different things to each individual person. It’s a never-ending definition with many emotions attached. It’s being confident in knowing that ‘mom knows best’ and then instantly realizing you know nothing at all. It’s a daily emotional roller coaster that seems to end the day with an immense amount of love to the point you just want to watch them sleep. Being a mother has finally made me feel that I am exactly where I am supposed to be in this world. (...)''
''These photos meant everything to us. First of all, my husband came from a family of three boys. Boisterous, wonderful, adventurous boys, brought up by the most amazingly loving and giving mother whom they tragically lost when my husband was 14. From that he has grown with an insurmountable respect for women, and the appreciation for all that they do and the comfort they bring him. He now has three of us, so for him these photos mean everything. (...)''

''“And is this is your first pregnancy?” “No, fifth.” “And how many children?” “None”. We had had many visits to the hospital for tests and monitoring while pregnant with my daughter, and after verifying my name and birth date they would always ask this while checking off the boxes on their chart. Even with the happiness of this pregnancy, I felt my heart sink each time. (...)''

These images by Elza Photographie are SO gorgeous! And I just love what she has to say about the process of shooting film. (...)''
”Motherhood is definitely my favorite genre to photograph on film. I love to capture those precious candid moments and, more than anything, the special connection between a mother and her little one. I’ll give the mom some simple directions and then let her cuddle and enjoy the moment with her baby. To get this shot, I simply asked the mom to kiss her daughter, who happened to be looking at me in that moment.
